Hauppauge, Nueva York – La Corporación Spellman High Voltage Electronics anounció hoy la presentación de su nuevo y revolucionario módulo de Rayos-X: el uX, el generador más compacto de su tipo en el mercado actual.

uX Series Spellman ha llevado al siguiente nivel sus técnicas innovadoras en el diseño de tecnología de montaje en superficie y encapsulado para producir un re-diseño ultra compacto de la unidad industrial estándar MNX. El uX tiene un volumen 30% menor al de una MNX al medir solo 4” x 2.87” x 9” (101.6 x 72.95 x 228.6mm) y un peso que bajó de 6.5 libras (3.0. kg) a sólo 4.5 Libras (2.1 kg).

Diseñado para energizar tubos de Rayos-X de cátodo aterrizado de los proveedores principales de tubos, el uX ofrece entre 50 y 65 kV y hasta 75W. El uX tiene una alimentación ajustable por filamento aislado y está protegida contra un sobre voltaje y cortos circuitos con un controlador de emisión remoto o local.

El muy estable (.05% por más de 8 horas), altamente regulable y de bajísimo rizo µX también cuenta con un control digital completamente integrado para el voltaje en el haz, la corriente de emisión, y para limitar la corriente en el filamento vía Ethernet, RS232, o USB. El GUI, propiedad de Spellman, permite una operación estandarizada del módulo simplificando su integración a equipos OEMs a través de la personalización de sus parámetros funcionales y de operación. Conveniente para muchas de las aplicaciones de inspección industrial o de análisis, el µX también cuenta con una opción de Grid Bias para los tubos de rayos-X comerciales que así lo requieran, incluyendo el popular tubo Oxford Apogee.
