Spellman anuncia la adquisición de la línea de productos Lorad LPX de Hologic

Junio 30, 2011 – Hauppauge, Nueva York – Spellman High Voltage Electronics Corporation, el fabricante líder mundial de productos personalizados para la conversión de energía en alto voltaje, anunció hoy la adquisición de los activos de la línea de productos LORAD LPX de Hologic, Inc (HOLX), el principal proveedor de sistemas médicos para el cuidado de la salud de las mujeres.

El Lorad LPX es una línea de sistemas industriales portátiles de rayos-X el cual expande la presencia de Spellman en el mercado de las pruebas o ensayos no destructivos (END). El LPX complementa los sistemas que actualmente Spellman ofrece para END, como el generador de la serie XRV (de 160 a 450 kV y 1.8-6kW) y la línea de fuentes de rayos-X Monoblock ®.

Según los términos del acuerdo, Spellman comercializará la línea de productos LPX bajo el nombre de marca Lorad NDT. La fabricación de la línea del producto será trasladada a la planta de manufactura de Spellman High Voltaje en Valhalla, Nueva York. Personal clave de Lorad se unirá a Spellman para apoyar y dirigir esta unidad de negocios.
