Spellman’s First Time Exhibit at AHRA 2019 Showcases New Digital Imaging Partnerships

July 08, 2019

Hauppauge New York – Spellman High Voltage Electronics Corporation, the world’s leading manufacturer of custom high voltage power conversion products, will be exhibiting at the upcoming AHRA 2019, the Association for Medical Imaging Management, July 21-24, in Denver, Colorado.

Spellman’s technical and sales staff will be available at Booth #323 to discuss new opportunities to partner with us for enhanced quality and sophistication in Digital Medical Imaging systems.

Digital Imaging Partnerships:

Spellman’s current partnerships with Varex and AGFA have been successfully implemented in several high profile medical institutions for enhanced quality of digital medical imaging. Our release of a single console integration between Spellman HFe X-Ray generators and our partners - AGFA MUSICA Workstations as well as Varex’s Nexus DR Workstations - allows for optimal workflow and improved operator experience with automated radiographic technique set up between the MUSICA workstation and the HFe generator. This saves time, increases productivity and reduces the chance of error or false triggering of the X-Ray detector. We offer flexibility, quality and precision to our partners. These combined systems result in some of the best medical imaging systems available today. Investigate partnering with Spellman at AHRA this year.

Background:

AGFA: For many years, AGFA and Spellman worked together on the acclaimed and commercially successful AGFA DR400 and DR600 Radiography systems and have recently made that experience available to customers of Musica 2 and 3 digital imaging workstations. These feature all of the benefits and image processing you’ve come to love on the Musica workstation, plus direct generator control eliminating the dedicated radiography console and replacing it with fully integrated controls on the Musica workstation. This not only makes the user experience easier and more streamlined, but also eliminates opportunities for errors while increasing overall productivity by improving workflow.

Varex: Spellman and Varex recently introduced the Nexus DR V4.5, featuring Spellman generator control. Along with numerous platform improvements to the core software, Nexus DR now features a novel single Ethernet connection between the detectors and the Spellman x-ray generator allowing for detector synchronous mode of operation as easy to install as AED/Asynchronous mode. This powerful single console fully integrated workstation also features optimal user workflow allowing maximum productivity for its operators.
