Spellman Acquires Power Valley Technologies (CN) Power Conversion Product Line

Hauppauge, New York – Spellman High Voltage Electronics Corporation, the world’s leading manufacturer of custom high voltage power conversion products, announced today that it has signed an agreement with Power Valley Technologies of Beijing China, to purchase the commercial assets and technologies of their power conversion group.

Power Valley was founded in 2013 by a team of experienced medical equipment engineers to develop high performance digital radiography (DR) generators for emerging markets. Their hallmark product, ZEUS, is a high frequency, 50-65kW output generator that has already been selected for use by a premier medical OEM based in China.

"This acquisition represents a significant addition to our expanding portfolio of diagnostic imaging products", commented David Burgess, Chief Marketing and Engineering Officer at Spellman. "With it, we are able to offer our partners an unparalleled selection of X-Ray generators for Medical Imaging applications covering value, premium and veterinary segments."

Spellman will relocate key Power Valley technical staff and inventory to its Suzhou manufacturing and engineering center, which was established in 2007 to support the Company’s growing customer base in Asia. “We are excited to become a part of Spellman and to be able to offer our customers all the benefits of a company with an established infrastructure and a global sales and service footprint” said Dong Zhao, CEO of Power Valley.

The Companies expect to finalize the transfer by the end of February.
