Spellman High Voltage Expands its MNX Series of Modular X-Ray Generators
Dec 17, 2010 – Hauppauge New York – Spellman High Voltage Electronics Corporation, the world’s leading manufacturer of advanced high voltage power conversion products has extended the voltage range of its popular MNX Series of X-Ray generators for Analytical X-Ray applications to 65kV.
Originally designed to provide up to 75watts with a maximum of 50kV or 2mA for cathode grounded X-Ray tubes, this new product provides up to 65kV with a maximum current of 2mA and power of 65W. The additional output voltage is crucial to support increasingly demanding analytical X-Ray applications.
Powered via a 24Vdc input, the MNX features closed loop, emission current beam control, with a DC filament operating between 0.3A and 3.5A. The MNX provides tight regulation, high stability, low ripple, and both local and remote analog control to set beam voltage, emission current and filament current limit.
Available with an optional Ethernet/UBS/RS-232 digital interface or a Grid Bias option to drive popular gridded X-Ray tubes, the MNX can be custom configured to address a wide variety of applications.
Spellman’s high voltage electro mechanical designs, proprietary components, and encapsulation technology ensure long term reliability within these ultra compact modules. At 5.0” H x 2.87” W x 9” D (146mm x 73mm x 229mm), the MNX is among the smallest X-Ray generator on the market today.
