RoHS

Spellman products made available for the market in the European Union that are within scope of RoHS2 (RoHS Recast) regulation conform to the Directive 2011/65/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 8th of June 2011. Spellman bases its knowledge of substance content on information provided by third parties such as suppliers, manufacturers and test laboratories.

Spellman continues to convert existing products to RoHS2 compliance while maintaining the same product quality and reliability expected of any Spellman product. New products are engineered, manufactured and tested as RoHS2 compliant design.

Spellman will provide, upon request, a Declaration of Conformance document for RoHS2 compliant products.

REACH

REACH EC 1907/2006 (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals) is the European Union's chemical substances regulatory framework. REACH requires Spellman to provide sufficient information on Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) contained in articles of a concentration above 0.1% weight by weight (w/w). The list of SVHC substances is continually updated by the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA).

The purpose of REACH is to reduce or eliminate harmful substances used in products to allow safe use of the product and have the lowest impact on the environment. Spellman continues efforts to identify, eliminate and reduce harmful substances contained in products.

Spellman bases its knowledge of substance content and concentration on information provided by third party sources such as suppliers, manufacturers and test laboratories.

Spellman will provide, upon request, SVHC disclosure as required by the EU REACH regulation for products made available to the European Union market.
