Lorad LPX DOT
Spellman’s advises our customers that the LPX Portable Xray Equipment contains UN1080 Sulfur Hexaflouride (SF6), Class 2.2 and is classified as HAZMAT for shipping purposes. In the event that you need to return the LPX series product to any Spellman location for service, you must ensure that the appropriate processes and procedures are followed according to local and international regulations, including but not limited to Hazardous Materials Regulations (HMR)s and the Federal Code of Regulations 49CFR. Should you choose, the SF6 may be emptied from the LPX in an manner consistent with your local environmental regulations and after such, the LPX may be returned to Spellman as regular freight (non HAZMAT). Refilling and recertifying the LPX with SF6 is included in Spellman’s standard repair services.
